Lori Tabor, LCSW, LLC

Hello! Nice to meet you.

In my therapeutic style, I strive to work alongside women who may be feeling stuck, seeking peace or searching for hope in their current situations. In recognizing that every person has a unique story to tell and engaging in this story with you, I can help you to find strength and the happiness you deserve.

I enjoy working with women at all stages of life, and I have a particular passion for perinatal mental health, including postpartum anxiety and depression.  I recognize that pregnancy and the postpartum period may not always be what we had imagined or what others have told us it should be. I understand that those expectations can lead some women to feelings of shame and guilt.  I hope to work with you to overcome these obstacles and tap into your inner strength.

I graduated with my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan in 2003 and have a background in medical social work. This includes experience with new parents and postpartum moms in obstetrics units, including at Goshen Hospital, as well as the newborn intensive care unit at Riley Hospital for Children. Through this work, I have walked with women through some scary and painful times. This includes being a support during infant loss and in ongoing bereavement work. I am a licensed clinical social worker in Indiana and Michigan, which allows me to practice telehealth over the state line. I am trained in EMDR and have completed the advanced psychotherapy training for Perinatal and Mood Disorders through Postpartum Support International.

Outside of my work, I am married and a mom of three children. I enjoy vacationing with my family, watching my kids’ various activities and reading.
